Indigo Husk proved they are far from nobodies in their denim dungarees!

"This is probably the biggest crowd we have ever played to" the lead singer Joe Hamm humbly admitted ruffling his blonde hair. The boys were clearly taken aback by the number of fans mouthing the lyrics "I wanna know you"; the chorus of their most popular track Misbehave released in 2015. Indigo Husk’s Indie Rock style is comparable to Beach Baby (who played an incredible gig at Truck last year), with catchy guitar riffs that use summer sounding, ‘wah’ pedal effects and husky, moody vocals about love, finding yourself and karma; felt most strongly in their latest track released this year, Goes Around Comes Around. Fresh from supporting Rat Boy earlier this year the boys had a giggly excitement about them as they began their set, as if they could feel themselves making it into the ‘known’, going from Spotify negative listen numbers and small time gigs to becoming firm favourites.

The band members were all dressed in denim dungarees to suit their care free, youthful flair something that clearly struck a chord with a lot of younger truckers. At the front of the Market Stage an allotment of red wrist band stems, like tagged sunflowers casually flailed to the music. Indio Husk’s growing younger fan base lifted the dampening wet weather funk some truckers were in and set the tone for beloved Indie Rock bands The Magic Gang and Superfood who played later. These lads are sure to grace the stage of several festivals next year but if you can’t wait till then their next gigs in November and early next year are in London at Kamio and 299 The Venue.
